Stories of the Sixties June/July 2008
The exciting decade of The Beatles, Pop Art and discovery is the focus of a digital storytelling project in York. In a community project at Canon Lee School, year 9 history students will work with people who live in nearby Guardian Court to explore memories of York in the 60s. The storycircle will take place at The Castle Museum in York which has recently installed a gallery called The Sixties. This intergeneration storytelling project will end with a show in The Cube at Canon Lee School on July 15th.
Training Trainers Course June 17th - 20th 2008
This training trainers workshop will not now proceed on the planned dates.
These 4 day courses equip you to run your own digital storytelling projects and workshops. You create your own digital story so that you not only understand the techniques but also the experience of telling your own story.
The workshop is based around the Apple iLife suite of programs although the principles hold true for any kind of computer and digital editing software. All equipment is supplied; you need only bring a story and some images as the basis for your digital story.
To book your place on a future course or for more information please email me and you will receive an application form. The cost is £500.00 + VAT. Accommodation isn't included in this price.
Riding Lights Summer School

I am facilitating a digital storytelling workshop at this residential event in Harrogate in August. I'll be working with a traditional storyteller, so the results could be quite different from my regular workshops. It'll be fun exploring. Book here.
